Serving the greater Chicago area for over 15 years, Home Plate Umpires (HPUA) is a family-run organization that trains and provides baseball umpires for leagues ranging from T-ball through high school.
Founded by Christopher Del Valle and David Alvarez, HPUA was born from a love for the game and a desire to give back to the baseball community. Our mission is to deliver a professional, consistent, and respectful umpiring experience while helping young officials grow and develop their skills.
We partner with Little League organizations, travel ball programs, and local schools, focusing on safety, engagement, and character-building both on and off the field.
